My Services

The process of maternity care, and the sheer volume of information available, often leaves parents feeling overwhelmed, And can cause unnecessary stress!

With over 38 years of experience providing clinical midwifery services, both NHS and privately, I offer a private midwifery service. This includes:

I also provide non-clinical midwifery support sessions and antenatal classes, such as my ‘birth rehearsal‘ session.

My personalised packages will ensure that you are guided throughout your journey, and I offer the choice to meet with me in person or virtually, giving full flexibility and peace of mind for everyone.

Jenny is one of the more special women you will meet in life and to have her there at the most important time in your life is something I would wholeheartedly recommend.

About Jenny

I am a qualified midwife who is RN, RM 1984 ADM, PGCEA and BTR trained, and founder of ‘Jentle Childbirth’ charity.

My book ‘Your Body Your Baby Your Birth’ was published in 2009 by Rodale and I am the co-author of The Natural Caesarean: a woman-centered technique (Smith J, Plaat F, Fisk N).

My passion lies in creating a safe, calm environment allowing for a smooth transition to parenthood regardless of circumstances.

An Important Update from Jenny

At the start of 2027, I’ll be moving away from London, which means there will be some changes to the way I’m able to support families.

I am now fully booked for the remainder of 2026 and am therefore unable to take on any new in-person clinical midwifery care, antenatal care or labour support.

I can continue to offer in-person postnatal care until Christmas 2026. After my move, I will no longer be providing in-person care in London.

The good news is that I will continue to offer online and remote education, guidance and support across all areas of pregnancy, birth and postnatal care, so you will still be able to access my experience and support wherever you are.

I am deeply grateful to all of the wonderful mothers, fathers, partners and babies who chose me as their midwife, and will always remember the wonderful moments we shared together.

Please, keep in touch as my journey changes to an online approach to midwifery support. There will be more news about my services in due course, so please do keep an eye on the website for further announcements.
